GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND
Many of our corporate partners and
schools develop collaborations that go
above and beyond their core Chapter
One relationships. These are as varied
as laptop and book donations to
schools, whole-class office visits to learn
about 8what adults do all day9 to
classroom makeovers, filmmaking and
story competitions.
We celebrated these initiatives as part
of the 2023-24 year at our annual
Partner, School and Volunteer
Recognition Awards in July 2024.
The Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation, a Chapter One Platinum Partner and Sodexo9s
employee-led charity focused on tackling food insecurity, collaborated with Sodexo's
Parents and Carers Network on a story competition. Employees were invited to use
their paid volunteer days to write children's stories about bringing people together
through food. The winning entry, "Cooking Pot Woods," was read by Sodexo UK &
Ireland CFO Jean Renton at the company's UK headquarters. Children from London's
Galleywall Primary School attended in person, while Hill Top Primary School students
from Doncaster joined virtually.
